About Me + Crêpe
Me + Crêpe, located at 89 E Green St in Pasadena, California, reimagines the culinary legacy of Jian Bing—a 2000-year-old Chinese street food tradition—through a contemporary lens tailored for North American audiences. As a multifaceted dining destination categorized under restaurants with subtypes spanning Chinese, Asian, brunch, creperie, takeout, and full-service dining, the establishment bridges cultural heritage and modern customization. By specializing in customizable crepes that honor the authentic textures and flavors of Jian Bing while incorporating innovative twists, Me + Crêpe caters to diverse palates, dietary preferences, and meal occasions, from quick takeout lunches to leisurely brunch experiences.
At the heart of Me + Crêpe’s philosophy is a commitment to freshness and adaptability. The menu features a vibrant array of crepes crafted with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring each bite balances tradition and innovation. Savory options might include classic fillings like scallions, cilantro, and hoisin sauce, while sweet variations could incorporate modern additions such as artisanal chocolate or seasonal fruits. Customization is central to the experience, allowing guests to tailor their crepes with gluten-free batters, plant-based proteins, or dairy-free alternatives, reflecting the growing demand for inclusive dining options seen in successful models like Crazy Crepes’ gluten-free and vegan-focused food truck[4]. This approach not only honors dietary diversity but also aligns with the health-conscious preferences of today’s consumers, much like the emphasis on organic and local sourcing highlighted in crepe business guides[1].
The ambiance of Me + Crêpe is designed to evoke the bustling energy of Asian street markets while maintaining the comfort of a neighborhood eatery. Whether patrons opt for takeout or dine-in, the focus remains on delivering a dynamic, engaging experience that mirrors the authenticity of Shanghai’s La Creperie, which has thrived by blending cultural immersion with consistent quality[5]. The Pasadena location’s strategic positioning near residential and commercial hubs ensures accessibility for both quick meals and social gatherings, reinforcing its dual identity as a brunch hotspot and a takeout-friendly venue.
Operational excellence underpins the business, with a supply chain optimized for reliability and sustainability. By forging partnerships with local farmers and suppliers, Me + Crêpe guarantees ingredient freshness while supporting regional producers—a practice critical to maintaining the quality standards emphasized in crepe business frameworks[1]. The team, trained to prioritize efficiency and hospitality, ensures that every order, whether a classic Jian Bing or a bespoke creation, is prepared swiftly without compromising craftsmanship.
Looking ahead, Me + Crêpe aims to expand its menu seasonally, introducing limited-time offerings that highlight regional produce and global flavors. This strategy, akin to Crazy Crepes’ planned menu evolution[4], will keep the culinary experience dynamic and responsive to customer feedback. Additionally, the business explores opportunities for community engagement, such as hosting cultural events or collaborating with local artisans, to deepen its connection with Pasadena’s diverse population.
By marrying the timeless appeal of Jian Bing with modern culinary trends, Me + Crêpe positions itself as more than a restaurant—it’s a cultural conduit where history meets innovation. Whether through its commitment to dietary inclusivity, its vibrant atmosphere, or its dedication to quality, the establishment invites guests to savor a piece of culinary heritage, redefined for today’s world. Delicious lunch spot for a quick bite, it's a Chinese crepe wrap, filled with various bbq meats and some veggies. I had my bbq peking duck wrap with an extra egg and spicy chili sauce. Ate it so fast that I forgot to take a pic sorry 😔 yummy...

Honestly, if you’re looking for a spot that hits that perfect "comfort food" sweet spot, you have to check out ME + CRÊPE. It’s one of those hidden gems that feels modern and clean but still serves up food that tastes like it came straight off a street corner in Beijing. I went at 11:30am for a quick lunch before a conference and it was so quiet, I even got some work done. The food is delicious and really good if you need a quick grab and go. The service was very fast and the cashier was very kind. 10/10 my favorite little spot in Pasadena

I got takeout here for the cumin lamb and it was DELICIOUS!! crispy and the lamb wasn’t too gamey. Not too salty or oily. Perfect quick lunch on the go.

This was my second time coming here (the first time I came was on a whim and I was blown away!), and it did not disappoint. I’m honestly not sure why this place isn’t busier; the food is SO good! I came here for lunch with my partner today. I ordered the spicy seafood crepe and he got the pork belly crepe. We also shared shrimp gyoza and he got a pork bun. Everything was so good, so worth it!! I’ll admit, the first time I came I was a bit apprehensive about the crepe because I don’t love things that are overly eggy but the ratio is superb. It’s made to order and the staff are friendly! Definitely recommend :)

A nice spot in downtown Pasadena for Chinese style crepes. The taste of the crepes is authentic to the classic Tianjin street food. The biggest complaint however is the price of these street foods which would have any Chinese ancestor rolling in their graves regarding the absurdly high price for a classic cheap street item. If price is of no concern, then don’t let that dissuade you from trying out this delicious establishment.
